We’ve written before about the feral animals on our farm and our obligation to “control” them. We’ve always thought they were better treated as resource than a pest, so we are building a “wild game meat processing facility”. This means we’ll be able to sell goat, pork, and venison all harvested from our own farm. There’s a lot of hoops to jump through, we’re at the council approval stage now, and we’ll need to get licensed by the food authority, but we’re hoping to be up and running by the middle of the year. We’ll keep you updated on our progress.
